Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that rock icon Ozzy Osbourne will be the central figure of an all-new haunted house at this year's Halloween Horror Nights.

The attraction, titled "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness," will immerse guests in the legendary musician's world at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort.

Park officials described the experience as a "living horror movie through the lens of Halloween Horror Nights," designed as a "non-traditional memorial to Ozzy Osbourne."

It promises to transport visitors on a "twisted journey through the artist's outrageous and eccentric solo career" across 45 years, offering unique experiences on both coasts.

While Osbourne, who died in 2025, first gained fame as the lead singer and co-founder of the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, the haunted house will exclusively feature music from his solo career, which began in 1980.

Sharon and Jack Osbourne, the late singer's wife and son, who appeared with him on the hit reality TV show The Osbournes, shared their enthusiasm about the honor.

"Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created," their statement read.

"Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you'll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It's a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together."

John Murdy, executive producer of HHN, emphasized Osbourne's impact.

"Ozzy didn't just help define heavy metal – he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror," Murdy stated. "We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by all 13 of his albums, guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness."

The Osbourne-themed maze joins an expanding lineup for this year's event, which includes haunted houses based on the film Evil Dead Burn, the 2025 horror movie Sinners, Netflix's Stranger Things, the Hellraiser franchise, and an original house titled Dead, Deader, Deadest. Additional attractions are expected to be announced before the event commences.

Halloween Horror Nights is scheduled to open on September 3 and will run on select nights through November 1.
