According to Ukrinform, Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov announced the update.

"Overall, more than 450 kilometers of roads across the region have already been equipped with anti-drone protection. Since last year, road protection has been installed in the Sumy community using local budget funds. So far, 47 kilometers have been secured, and this work is continuing," Hryhorov said.

He added that, with government support, anti-drone protection will also be installed along several dozen additional kilometers of roads in the city of Sumy.

Hryhorov stressed that Russian FPV drones remain a serious threat, while the protective structures have proven effective. He noted that last week, one such installation helped protect passengers on a scheduled bus during a Russian drone attack.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian government will allocate an additional UAH 70 million to expand anti-drone protection measures in the Sumy region.
