According to a Ukrinform correspondent, this was announced during a briefing by Grzegorz Trusewicz, head of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin.

“We have received an official request from the Ukrainian side to provide assistance during the inspection [of the crash site], as these are specialists with the most experience in handling such incidents. This request is currently under review, and they may arrive here and, together with Polish authorities, help identify the object that entered Polish airspace,” the prosecutor said.

He clarified that the Ukrainian authorities initiated this cooperation by sending an official letter to the Polish authorities.

Reporting on the incident, he noted that around 4 a.m. (local time), a resident of the Biłgoraj County in the Lublin Voivodeship alerted emergency services to a loud explosion. Police were the first to arrive at the scene, where they located the crash site of the unidentified object.

According to preliminary estimates by the prosecutor’s office, the crater formed by the falling object is about 10 meters in diameter and approximately 5 meters deep. Debris is scattered over an area of about 200 meters. About 100 representatives of various agencies are working at the scene, including military personnel, police officers, and four prosecutors who are directly supervising the investigation. Another 50 or so members of the years' imprisonment are also expected to arrive to assist in the search for debris.

The prosecutor’s office is investigating the incident under the charge of creating a threat of an aviation disaster. Polish law provides for a penalty of up to 10 years' imprisonment for this crime.
