For the past week or so, people playing the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 ports on PlayStation have been reporting that an alleged hacker from CoD’s past has returned to cause mayhem and misery. Now, things are so bad as a result of this infamous hacker that players are warning others to stay away from Black Ops 2 until the devs patch out a nasty exploit that locks players out of multiplayer.

Here’s a video from years ago showing C Isn’t Sharp, a known Call of Duty hacker, hacking leaderboards in the original release of Black Ops 2. It’s hard to pin down precisely when C Isn’t Sharp returned, and it isn’t entirely clear if this returning hacker is acting alone, though some in the community believe so. Regardless, it seems like in the past few days, there has been a massive increase in reports of players encountering the hacker in matches and lobbies. Videos have been posted online showing C Isn’t Sharp allegedly killing everyone in a match. Others report that the hacker has maxed out their XP and profile to the point where they can’t play online anymore.

Video proving C Isnât Sharp is going around the Black Ops 2 port and bricking peopleâs accounts, resetting their stats and more.

Some players have also shared screenshots that show a hacked, multi-colored text message on the screen that says:

Hi there! Enjoy! Much love from you know who… Welcome2802. Brought to you by Activision!! The best comp! Complete wowa EZZZZZZZZZZ

The situation is so bad right now that players are warning others away from hopping on Black Ops 2 multiplayer. You can find multiple warnings on Reddit and elsewhere telling people to either immediately turn off their console if they see a player named “Who isnât sharp” appear in their lobby or match to hopefully avoid their account being bricked by the hacker.

So many players are currently avoiding Black Ops 2 on PlayStation that you can find posts from people who aren’t aware of the situation asking, “Hey, why can’t I find a match online?” Black Ops 2 is like a ghost town now for some players, and it seems you can blame a lot of that on C Isn’t Sharp or similar hackers using some variant of that name. For many, that name popping back up in Call of Duty matches has them convinced Black Ops 2 will forever be a hack-filled mess.

For now, Treyarch, Activision, and the port devs at Iron Galaxy have yet to officially address the influx of XP exploits and other hacks caused by C Isn’t Sharp or other alleged hackers in *Black Ops 2. *
