Police are investigating a suspected hate-motivated attack on an Islamic centre in Winnipeg.
Windows were damaged Wednesday night at the Rahma Islamic Centre in the northeast end of the city.
Police say it’s possible shots were fired in the direction of the windows, but no injuries were reported.
They say the building was also damaged when two suspects later broke additional windows with an unknown object.
Police say the suspects had been at the centre earlier in the evening and shouted racist comments at patrons.
Investigators are treating the case as a potential hate-motivated crime and plan to increase police presence and patrols around the centre and other mosques in the area.
