On day 10 of the ongoing Monsoon Session, the Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up key Bills including the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026, for consideration and passage. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha is expected to discuss the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, on Friday (July 31, 2026).

The Parliament passed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, after the Rajya Sabha too cleared it on Thursday (July 30, 2026). The Lok Sabha had passed the Bill on Wednesday (July 29, 2026). Opposition members belonging to the INDIA bloc walked out of the House before the reply by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh to the seven-hour debate. The DMK did not walk out, but moved amendments against the Bill, which were defeated.

BJP MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday (July 30, 2026) submitted a notice of breach of privilege and contempt of the House against Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Mr. Thakur submitted the notice to Speaker Om Birla against Mr. Gandhi for the “use of unparliamentary and derogatory language and levelling grave and unsubstantiated allegations” against Home Minister Amit Shah.
