According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, made this statement during a television broadcast.

“Within the Kharkiv region, there has been a slight decrease recently in attempts to storm positions held by border guard units in the Vovchansk sector. However, enemy infantry groups still make periodic attempts to attack our positions. Within the Sumy region, specifically in the Shostka district, toward the Esman community, the enemy also periodically deploys its infantry to attack our positions. But this is more of a probing effort to see if the enemy can expand its zone of control along the state border. These groups were eliminated by border guard units both in the Kharkiv region and in the Sumy region,” Demchenko said.

He stated that the enemy is attempting to expand its zone of control within the Vilkhuvatka community in the Kharkiv region by resorting to assault operations, but is suffering losses. The occupiers have not achieved significant results in expanding their zone of control.

Demchenko noted that the enemy primarily operates with infantry groups, occasionally using light vehicles such as ATVs and motorcycles, particularly in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector. Sometimes, enemy infantry groups are transported to the border line by armored vehicles.

As previously reported, the Kharkiv region remains one of the most active fronts for Russian attacks.
