NEW DELHI, July 31. /TASS/. India has sent an invitation to Russia to participate in the upcoming BRICS summit scheduled for September in New Delhi, a government source told TASS.

"The invitation to the BRICS summit has been sent to Russia," the source said.

India holds the presidency of the association this year. The XVIII BRICS Summit will be held in New Delhi on September 12-13. The main theme of the Indian presidency is "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability".
