The Adibatla police have arrested a house burglar and two habitual bike thieves in separate operations and recovered stolen property and vehicles worth lakhs of rupees.

The accused were apprehended by the Adibatla police along with the crime team following investigations into multiple property offences.

Adibatla Division ACP Pradeep Kumar Reddy said the arrests helped solve several cases reported across different police station limits.

In the first case, police arrested Mukesh Choudary, 35, a native of Rajasthan, a Zomato delivery executive, at Manneguda, in Turkayamjal. Police said the accused, who earlier ran a hardware shop in Yapral, allegedly turned to crime after suffering losses due to personal vices.

Police said Mukesh had developed a criminal record since 2024 and was previously involved in 17 cases, with cases registered at five police stations. Preventive detention proceedings had also been initiated against him earlier.

The accused was arrested in connection with a house burglary case registered at Adibatla police station based on a complaint by P. Joseph Thambi. The theft reportedly took place between July 19 and July 23.

During interrogation, Mukesh allegedly confessed to seven cases, including two cases in Adibatla, four in Hayathnagar and one in Kushaiguda police station limits.

Police recovered three tolas of gold ornaments, 30 tolas of silver ornaments, a mobile phone and a motorcycle, together valued at ₹6.5 lakh, from him.

In another operation, the Adibatla police, in coordination with the CCS, DD Hyderabad crime team, arrested two habitual vehicle thieves identified as Syed Qasim Hussain, 18, a resident of Dabeerpura, and Mohammed Kareem, 19, a resident of Bandlaguda.

Police said Qasim was earlier involved in five cases within Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits and was absconding in a case registered at Mirchowk police station. Another suspect, Shaik Salman of Dabeerpura, is absconding.

The duo allegedly confessed to stealing two-wheelers from different police station limits. Police recovered five stolen vehicles, including Honda Activa, Honda Dio and Pulsar NS motorcycles, linked to cases registered at Adibatla, Chandanagar, Ghatkesar, Choutuppal and Jeedimetla police stations.

Meanwhile, the police advised residents to install CCTV cameras, burglar alarms and secure locking systems, avoid keeping valuables in vacant houses while travelling, park vehicles in secure locations and inform police or neighbours before leaving homes locked for extended periods. Citizens were urged to report suspicious activity by dialling 112.
