According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Vadym Liakh, head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, made this announcement on television.

“Currently, about 600 residents of the community are leaving each week. This number has stabilized… Up to 30% remain, that’s 32,000 in the city itself and nearly 38,000 in the community,” said the head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration.

He noted that people are staying in the community for various reasons. In particular, utility workers, medical personnel, police officers, and State Emergency Service rescuers, along with their families, are still in the community. And many people are not leaving “because, unfortunately, they are getting used to the shelling,” Liakh explained.

The head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration urged residents to leave the community to save their own lives and those of their children.

As previously reported, on July 30, Russian invaders launched strikes on Sloviansk using BM-27 Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems and an FPV drone, resulting in injuries to a civilian and a partial blackout in the community.
