UFC Belgrade Main Event: Uros Medic vs. Daniel Rodriguez

Uros Medic (13-3) is the No. 14 fighter in the UFC’s welterweight division rankings. The 33-year-old Serbian has not fought in his home country during his professional career, which began in Alaska in 2016.

Medic signed with the UFC in 2020 after winning a contract on a Dana White’s Contender Series fight card via first round TKO. Medic cut to lightweight for that contest. With that victory, Medic’s record stood at 6-0 with six finishes (four KOs, two submissions).

Medic has had an up-and-down run with the UFC. He sports a 7-3 record with all of his wins coming via knockout. Five of those finishes have come in the first stanza. Medic’s three setbacks have also been via stoppage (two submissions, on KO). He is currently riding the longest winning streak of his UFC career with victories in his past three outings.

Medic is coming off a February first-round knockout of Geoff Neal.

Daniel Rodriguez (20-5) has been with the UFC since 2020. He joined the promotion after winning the SMASH Global welterweight title.

He opened his UFC career with a 7-1 mark, but hit a rough patch in 2022 when he moved up to face tougher opponents. Rodriguez lost three in a row between November 2022 and June 2024, falling to Neil Magny, Ian Machado Garry and Kelvin Gastelum.

The 39-year-old bounced back from those losses with a three-fight winning streak. He is coming off a July 2025 decision win over Kevin Holland at UFC 318.

Rodriguez’s return was delayed by an eight-month stint in a Mexican prison after he was caught at the border with marijuana.
