Canadian boxer Scarlett Delgado will bring home a silver medal after a loss in the women's 54kg final on Saturday at the Commonwealth Games.
India's Preeti Pawar scored a unanimous decision victory over Delgado, of Brampton, Ont.

- Track cyclist Tyler Rorke was eliminated in the quarterfinals in the men's sprint. Fellow Canadian Cole Dempster was defeated in the 1/8 final while James Hedgcock did not advance from the qualifying round. Jonathan Hinse advanced to the final of the men's 10km scratch race.
- Judokas Laurence Brion, Charlie Thibault, and Guillaume Gaulin won their round of 16 matches on Saturday. Biron took her women's -63kg round of 16 match by ippon against Scotland's Sophie Wood, Thibault defeated Uganda's Zubeda Talikaza by yuko in a women's -70kg elimination match, and Gaulin won by ippon in his men's -90kg match against Nantenaina Finesse of Seychelles.
- Maitlan Knoke had a season's best throw of 9.85m but finished off the podium in the men's shot put F57 final.
