LONDON, April 27. /TASS/. A cargo ship has been hijacked six nautical miles northeast of the city of Garacad, Somalia, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center said in a statement.

"The UKMTO has received a report of an incident six nautical miles northeast of Garacad, Somalia," the statement reads.

According to the UKMTO, "unauthorized persons have taken control of a cargo vessel which has been redirected to within territorial waters."
