Bharat Biotech managing director (MD) and Padma Bhushan awardee Suchitra Ella called on students to dream boldly, uphold integrity and compassion, and contribute meaningfully to society. She urged them to become ‘persons of value’ rather than merely pursuing success, highlighting resilience, conviction, patience, lifelong learning, innovation and responsible use of emerging technologies.

As the chief guest, she was addressing the graduates of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Sri City, during its 10th convocation in Tirupati district on Saturday. As many as 328 students, including 10 Ph.D. scholars and 318 B.Tech. Graduates received their degrees in the presence of Board of Governors, Board members, guests, faculty, students, parents, and alumni.

Among the graduates, 248 were from computer science and engineering and 70 from electronics and communication engineering. Thirty-one earned research honours, 15 completed specialisations, and four achieved both. Gold medals were awarded to two students – Bishwajeet Sahoo and Mantri Varun Rakesh.

On the occasion, Director (Additional Charge), S.R. Mahadeva Prasanna, presented the Annual Institute Report for 2025-26. He highlighted a 92.1% placement rate, an average package of ₹17.82 lakh per annum, and a highest offer of ₹1.2 crore. Other achievements included record Ph.D. admissions under the MeitY Visvesvaraya scheme and 34 international journal publications.
