The company’s co-founder, Iryna Chechotkina, reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“This morning, a Shahed drone struck our warehouse. At the time, 270 people were working there. Our colleague Volodymyr Melnychenko was killed. Seven others are currently in the hospital, one of whom is in serious condition,” the post reads.

The company noted that it will provide the victims and their families with medical, psychological, and financial assistance. We will rebuild and restore everything. Rozetka is still operating.

As reported by Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, a special advisor to the President, a Shahed drone struck a Rozetka warehouse today, marking the second such incident.

“They’re not interested in the warehouse itself. There are no goods in the large warehouses. Enemy agents are also monitoring the warehouses and know this,” he noted.

According to him, “that’s why the Shahed drone spotted the minibuses parked next to the warehouse and struck them. There were no trucks or lorries there either, for the reasons described above. They struck whatever was in the parking lot.”

He added that the strike was carried out by a “Geran-4”-type guided drone.

Beskrestnov emphasized that in Russia, decisions regarding the use of ballistic missiles and Shahed-type drones are made by different people.

“There aren’t many ballistic missiles, and targets are selected for them by analyzing their importance. That importance can be strategic or informational. Jet-powered drones represent a lower level of decision-making,” he noted.
