Beast of Reincarnation, Game Freakâs action RPG thatâs set to release on August 4 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Steam, has somehow already leaked online and is reportedly being played by pirates as we speak.

This news comes via multiple piracy-centric sources, including the DODI Repacks Discord server and both the r/Piracy and r/PiratedGames subreddits. Exactly how repackers have managed to get their hands on Game Freakâs upcoming title three days before its official release is currently unconfirmed, though some have suggested it’s related to preloading the game on Steam.

On the plus side, multiple pirates who have allegedly played Beast of Reincarnation have reported that it runs pretty smoothly. One such report comes from a user playing the game on the ROG Ally X handheld, who stated, âIntro area runs at around 30-40fps medium settings at 1080p taau performance. Didnt drop below 30fps thus far. No shader compilation at the start but I didn’t encounter any stutters so far hmm. And it looks great! Good soundtrack too.â

However, another user wasnât quite as impressed with the performance on PC: âGame is running like garbage. 70-80fps avg with dlss ultra quality at 4k max settings with a 9800x3d and 5070ti. No frame gen option.â

Personally, I think a stable 60FPS and 4K sounds pretty good, but whatever. Also, probably shouldnât put too much stock in what people think of its performance at this stage, considering this is a pirated copy weâre talking about.

Beast of Reincarnation isnât the only high-profile title thatâs made its way into piratesâ hands before being released this year. Several other high-profile AAA titles, including the likes of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Forza Horizon 6, and Subnautica 2, have all been cracked and repacked before their official release dates.

Both Game Freak and Beast of Reincarnationâs publisher, Fictions, have yet to officially comment on its alleged leak.
