Elijah Canlas sparks split rumors with Miles Ocampo after sighting with Thea Astley

Elijah Canlas has fueled speculation about the status of his relationship with Miles Ocampo after he was recently spotted spending time with singer-actress Thea Astley.

A TikTok video uploaded by user @blairedalapo on July 29 showed Canlas and Astley walking around what appeared to be a public market.

In the clip, the two were seen browsing vegetable stalls. At one point, Elijah was captured holding Astley’s arm as they walked through the area.

Following the public sighting, Canlas later shared a group mirror selfie on his Instagram Stories, tagging Astley and two other companions. She reposted the story on her own account and wrote, “That’s what’s up.”

As of this writing, Canlas and Astley have not commented on the sighting or the nature of their relationship.

Some netizens speculate that the two might have been only spending time together for a project.

However, the sighting reignited breakup rumors between Canlas and Ocampo. Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that a TikTok video of the couple during a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland could no longer be found on the actress’ account.

Fans also recalled Ocampo’s interview with Toni Gonzaga for the YouTube show “Ang Tanong” in May, where she appeared to dismiss having a love life.

While introducing the actress, Gonzaga remarked, “Ngayon nga may love life na.” Ocampo immediately replied, “Wala ate.”

Last May, Canlas took to his Instagram Story to greet Ocampo a happy birthday. “Mahal kita lagi’t lagi,” the actor wrote at the time.

As of this writing, the couple has not confirmed whether they have ended their relationship.

It can be recalled that Canlas confirmed in November 2023 that he and Ocampo broke up for the first time after going through what he described as a “rough patch.”

At the time, the actor said the split happened a couple of months earlier despite publicly confirming their relationship in 2022.

However, in March 2024, Miles Ocampo said that they were trying to rekindle their romance, while Canlas said they were “taking things easy.”
