Shivakumar appeals to withdraw August 13 Cauvery bandh

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has appealed to protesters to withdraw the August 13 bandh called against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The appeal comes after the Cauvery Water Management Authority directed Karnataka to release 3,500 cusecs of water daily for 15 days.
