Police officers have been taken to hospital after their vehicle was allegedly rammed by a teenager.

He allegedly stole a tyre at a property on Fletcher Street at Yarrabilba in Logan just after 8pm on Sunday.

Witnesses said he drove off in a black Ford Fairmont, and police alleged the car had stolen number plates.

About half an hour later, the car allegedly swerved towards a member of the public before ramming a police vehicle on Pinnacles Street.

The member of the public suffered minor injuries, as did two police officers who were taken to hospital.

The driver, an 18-year-old from Logan Village, was charged with stealing, dangerous operation of a vehicle, damaging an emergency vehicle, receiving tainted property, driving unregistered and uninsured and assault.

He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police said they were seeking information from anyone who witnessed the crash or had relevant CCTV.
