Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that Tehran was not currently involved in any talks with the U.S. but was discussing a temporary safe route through Hormuz Strait with Oman.

Baghaei added that reaching an agreement with Oman is not sufficient to reopen the strait, as the situation will remain unchanged while U.S. "aggression" continues.
