Around 24,000 pilgrims have visited Mount Kailash in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region since May this year with the pilgrimage season set to continue till September; the numbers so far are up from 20,750 last year when the pilgrimage was reopened for Indian devotees after a gap of five years.
