With the hot weather showing no signs of easing, I’ve found myself relying on one of the best reusable water bottles to stay hydrated. Alongside popular brands like Owala and Hydro Flask, one of the most recognisable and sought-after bottles is the Stanley quencher (£50, Stanley1913.com). But if you want the look without the premium price tag, I’ve found a budget-friendly alternative that’s worth considering.
While the viral quencher will set you back £50, Sainsbury’s has a £12 travel cup that looks extremely similar to Stanley’s. Despite its price, the budget tumbler can hold more than a litre of liquid, making it ideal for days out or keeping at your desk. It’s also been designed to keep drinks either hot or cold for hours.
The Sainsbury’s version even features the same practical drinking options, letting you choose between a pop up cover or a straw for easy sipping without spills on the go.

In a creamy beige colourway, the Sainsbury’s travel cup is an elegant bottle to behold. It has similar design features to the Stanley cup, including a large capacity, vacuum insulation and a grip handle – but all at a fraction of the price.
While we’ve not reviewed this model, it’s highly rated on Sainsbury’s website with buyers noting it can keep ice frozen for hours and the pop up cover makes it leak proof.
If you’re after a smaller cup, the supermarket also sells a 600ml mug in a pretty lilac colour, while this bottle in black is currently on offer.
