Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Monday (August 3, 2026) visited Saint-Gobain, a glass manufacturing company, at Sriperumbudur, where he was scheduled to take a guided tour of the glass-making process.

Thousands of people lined both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister, who is also expected to visit other industrial units in the SIPCOT Industrial Estate during the tour.

The visit comes close on the heels of his inspection of Metro Rail stations in Chennai last week, where he reviewed the progress of ongoing construction works firsthand. Earlier, he visited the MC Raja Hostel in Chennai and listened to students about their requirements.
