Three people unconscious after fire in Little India flat; they are among 5 taken to hospital

SINGAPORE - Three people were unconscious after a fire in a flat in Little India on Aug 3, and they were among five people taken to hospital.

The five had been trapped in a fifth-floor unit, according to a post on Singapore Civil Defence Force’s Facebook page.

SCDF was alerted to a fire at Block 684 Race Course Road at 7.10pm.

Upon SCDF’s arrival, a bedroom in a unit on the fifth floor was on fire. It was extinguished with a water jet.

One person was rescued by the police, the other four were rescued by SCDF.

Investigations are ongoing.
