According to Ukrinform, the president announced this on Facebook following a briefing by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa.

"Work continues to localize in Ukraine the types of Western weapons we need. This area will be expanded significantly. I will not provide details for now, but I thank our partners in Europe for their readiness to support our resilience over the long term in precisely this way – through localization and joint defense production," Zelensky said.

He also noted that air defense was the key topic of the briefing.

"We are working with the American side and our partners in Europe to secure the necessary support packages for Ukraine. This is not easy, but we expect results. Air defense missiles are needed in our launchers – not in warehouses somewhere far from the real threats," Zelensky said.

He also noted that during meetings in the United States as part of his recent visit, agreements were reached on several special options for using missile systems and expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and American companies.

"The relevant documents are being prepared, and communication between the companies is ongoing. General Palisa will coordinate this work with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the American side, and Ukrainian manufacturers. Our warriors will have greater strength," Zelensky said.
