Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow Region, confirmed the drone attack in the city of Chekhov.

“Five people were killed and six others were wounded as a result of the drone attack in Chekhov, near Moscow,” the regional governor said.

"This morning, air defense forces repelled a drone attack on the Moscow Region. The most significant damage was reported in the Chekhov Municipal District. In the Novoselki industrial zone, several fires broke out after a drone struck the area. The largest fire occurred at a warehouse, where the open flames have already been extinguished. A power substation and an administrative building were also damaged. Firefighters and all emergency services continue to work at the scene," Vorobyov said.

As noted, there are fatalities and injuries as a result of the attack. “According to preliminary information, five people were killed and six others were injured. All victims are receiving the necessary medical care,” the governor said.

Vorobyov clarified that in the village of Sonechkova, “debris from a drone damaged a private home and a car.” The fire at that location has already been extinguished, and there were no casualties, Andriy Vorobyov stated.

The UAV attack continues: “Drones are being detected over the Moscow Region in the Volokolamsk, Klinsky, Chekhovsky, and Srebno-Prudsky districts.”

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of Sunday, August 3, following a drone attack in Belgorod, Belgorod State Technological University (BDTU)—where UAV systems were developed—caught fire, and in the Vladimir region, warehouses belonging to the Russian online marketplace Wildberries caught fire.
