Not bad if you want a steep discount
For a limited time, Google Fi is offering a steep $600 discount, and it won't require that you stick with the carrier for 24 months. Now, the only catch is that you must be an "existing" subscriber and activate the phone on an Unlimited Premium or Flexible plan.
Google defines an existing customer as someone "who currently has Fi service or whose last day of Fi service took place within the last 180 days." So, if you qualify under these terms, you'll be eligible to get this promotion for the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
In order to get the $600 discount, you'll need to purchase and activate the Z Flip 8 on an existing Unlimited Premium or Flexible plan. The activation must be done within 30 days of purchase, and the plan needs to remain active for 120 consecutive days.
That means you need to keep the service going continuously with the Z Flip 8. You won't be able to pause/suspend the service or swap the SIM card out. If you fail to meet any of the conditions, Google will charge you the full amount of the phone.
For the most part, it's a pretty straightforward deal. Most other carriers will require subscribers to stick with the service for 24 or 36 months, providing monthly credits over the two or year period. Google Fi will just require the 120 days. You can preorder the phone now and can expect it to arrive next week. The Z Flip 8 promotion will be available until on August 27.
