The Phantom Targets Player Project in Arc Raiders brings along a new set of challenges where raiders can earn rewards.

There are three parts to this project, but only one is currently available. For the first part, you'll need to upgrade antennas and hunt down Arc enemies. However, it can be difficult to find the necessary items to complete these steps and some of them can be annoying to finish.

Here are all the Phantom Targets Player Project challenges in Arc Raiders and how to complete them.

Phantom Targets Player Project challenges and rewards in Arc Raiders (Part 1)

Part 1 of the Phantom Targets Player Project requires you to complete three challenges:

| Step | Challenge | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Upgrade antennas found on top of any Cargo Elevator. | Combat Mk. 3 augment (Aggressive), heavy shield, vita spray |
| 2 | Deal damage to Arc enemies using wasp drivers, pop triggers, and leaper pulse units. | 50 raider tokens, Aphelion battle rifle, Dolabra shotgun, Jupiter sniper rifle |
| 3 | Destroy Arc enemies using fire damage, energy damage, and launcher ammo. | 50 raider tokens, powered descender, horizontal grip, snap hook |

For more information on how to complete each challenge, check out the sections below.

Step 1: Upgrade cargo elevator antennas

For the first step, you need to upgrade three antennas that can be found on top of the extraction elevators in Riven Tides, Spaceport, or Dam Battlegrounds. We recommend Dam Battlegrounds as it's the easiest of the three, but the choice is yours.

Walk on top of an elevator and approach the antenna on the corner. You'll see an "Upgrade" prompt appear. Interact with the antenna until the "Upgrade" bar fills completely once. It'll allow you to interact with it again, but you only need to do it once per antenna. It's important to note that you can upgrade multiple antennas per run, so you can technically finish this part in one run. After you've upgraded three antennas, return to Speranza to complete the quest.

Step 2: Test Arc parts for irregular behavior

For the second step, you need to deal damage to Arc enemies using Arc parts:

  • Deal 50 damage using pop triggers
  • Deal 500 damage using wasp drivers
  • Deal 1,000 damage using leaper pulse units

If you're having difficulty finding each Arc part, here's where you can find them:

  • **Pop triggers**are dropped by Pops, the white orb enemies that explode, and they're commonly found in Stella Montis and inside buildings in Buried City.

  • **Wasp drivers**are dropped by Wasps, one of the many flying drones, and they're commonly found on every map. The easiest way to find a Wasp is to first find a Snitch or use a snitch scanner.

  • **Leaper pulse units**are dropped by Leapers, the large four-legged robot. We've had luck finding Leapers at the Water Treatment extraction point and in the Red Lakes on Dam Battlegrounds, but be careful as other players are likely searching in this area as well.

Now completing this step might be the most difficult part, as Arcs are always moving and the Arc parts are tricky to aim. We've found that this step is a lot easier if you have showstoppers, which allow you to stun other Arcs. Alternatively, there are a few more stationary Arcs like Bombardiers, but they can be quite challenging to take on.

Step 3: Test multiple Arc destruction methods

For the third step, you need to complete the following actions:

  • Deal 1,500 damage to Arc enemies using fire damage items (blaze grenade, firefly and fireball burner, flame spray)
  • Destroy three Bastion, Leapers, Vaporizers, or Rocketeers using energy weapons (Aphelion, Dolabra, Jupiter, Equalizer)
  • Destroy 20 flying Arc using launcher ammo weapons (Hullcracker, Rascal)

We recommend following the same method as the previous step for the fire damage items, but it can take quite a while, as 1,500 damage is a lot. So, if you find a larger Arc and can safely throw blaze grenades or fireball burners from a distance, it might be your best bet.

Luckily, you received the Aphelion, Dolabra, and Jupiter as a reward from the second step. We prefer the Jupiter as it's a longer-range weapon, but you can use any of them to take down any of the listed enemies.

Lastly, we recommend destroying 20 of the smaller flying Arc as they have less health. If you don't have either of the launcher weapons, you can purchase a Hullcracker from Tian Wen for 30,000 coins once you reach level 20.
