MANILA, Philippines — The fuel discount for jeepney and UV Express drivers will increase to P12 per liter starting August 15, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto announced on Wednesday. The decision was reached during a Cabinet meeting at Malacañang Palace on Tuesday. However, the approved amount fell short of the P20-per-liter fuel subsidy for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers proposed by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
