BAGUIO CITY — The Licuan-Baay government in Abra province has suspended face-to-face classes in one village and closed nearby tourism sites as government troops continued pursuit operations following the fourth reported armed encounter with alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebels. Executive Order No. 45, signed by Mayor Darwin Domingo on Aug. 4, suspended in-person classes and school activities in Barangay Bonglo until authorities declare it safe for students and teachers to return.
