KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The earthquake that jolted parts of Mindanao shortly past Wednesday noon was recorded at magnitude 6.4, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in its latest bulletin. Phivolcs earlier said the earthquake that struck Sarangani was at magnitude 7. Earthquake Information 2 issued at 12:59 p.m. listed the epicenter of the tectonic quake at 29 kilometers southwest of Sarangani town in Davao Occidental. It had a depth of 13 kilometers.
