MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang suspended government work and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region, Abra, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan and Zambales on Wednesday afternoon. This is due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Storm Maymay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon. The suspension took effect at 3 p.m. on August 5, 2026, under Memorandum Circular No. 121 issued by the Office of the President.
