J. Syamala Rao, Principal Secretary to the Government (Political), General Administration Department, on Wednesday reviewed the preparations for the State-level Independence Day celebrations to be organised at the Parade Grounds in Amaravati and directed officials to ensure meticulous planning for the August 15 event.
Accompanied by CRDA Commissioner Vijaya Rama Raju V., Guntur District Collector C.M. Saikanth Varma, Director of Information and Public Relations K.S. Viswanathan, Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal and other senior officials, Mr. Syamala Rao inspected the venue and reviewed the arrangements. He instructed the officials to ensure careful printing and distribution of invitations and complete all parade-related works well in advance.
Stressing that thousands of people were expected to attend the celebrations, Mr. Syamala Rao directed the officials to provide adequate seating, drinking water, sanitation facilities, and other essential amenities. He also called for a comprehensive traffic and parking management plan to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and visitors.
He instructed all government departments to complete the preparation of tableaux showcasing their achievements and present them during the full dress rehearsal scheduled for August 13. Emphasising inter-departmental coordination, he said all the agencies should work in close coordination to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations.
