Good Samaritans fight off robber who tried to steal backpack from 70-year-old with walker

A pair of Good Samaritans came to the aid of a 70-year-old man after a suspected robber tried to steal his backpack from his walker.

Surveillance footage from inside a fast food restaurant in Tucson, Arizona, shows a 34-year-old following the victim into the eatery, where he attempted to swipe his belongings.

During the struggle, the 70-year-old man fell to the floor, and two other customers rushed to his assistance and confronted the suspected thief, who fled the scene.

The two men then helped the victim gather his scattered belongings and place them back on his walker. He was treated at the scene for his injuries.

Tucson Police Department apprehended the suspect within minutes after receiving a report of the incident. The 34-year-old was booked into jail on a charge of attempted robbery.
