The skeleton crew in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is essential if you'd like the full Pirates of the Caribbean experience, ghost story and all. The skeleton crew, officially known as the Deceased Crew Attire ship vanity, turns your living sailors into an emaciated undead horde.

Here's how to obtain the skeleton crew in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and how to farm enough bones.

Where to buy the skeleton crew in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

The skeleton crew outfit is sold on a small island in northwest Gibara, directly south of Andreas Island. This is an unmarked location at coordinates (550, 638). When you get close enough, you can spot a sliver of smoke rising from a campfire as well as the general store on the island. Among other vanity items, this store sells the Deceased Crew Attire for 206 bones.

As you're unlikely to have such a high number of bones on hand, here's how to get more bones in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

• Hunt animals. Every animal has a chance to drop bones, though larger animals drop more bones than small ones. Despite the lower drop chance, hunting hutia on Cayman Sound would be a good option, as there are a great many hutia on the island and no enemies, so you can farm them quickly. Skip time and fast travel to another region to respawn the animals.
• Purchase bones from the Treasure Dealer. After completing "This Old Cove" in the main story, you can build the Treasure Dealer on Great Inagua as one of the town upgrades. In addition to offering map restoration, outfits for Edward, and trinkets, the Treasure Dealer sells bones for 1,000 reales a piece. That sounds like a steep price, but once you reach endgame, you'll likely have a few dozen spare reales on hand anyway, and farming gold is arguably more fun than hunting dozens of animals.
• Use mods. The easiest way to escape the bones farm is to install a mod like "Encrypteds Resynced Ultimate Rewrite" and spawn bones, increase your gold, or enable free shops.

In case you're wondering, the Exotic Sea Shells trinket, which promises higher yields from skinning animals, doesn't seem to affect bones (you'll receive extra skins only). That said, if you happen to have it on hand, it can't hurt to wear the trinket while you're hunting.

To complete the Pirates of the Caribbean look, you could equip the Jackdaw with the HMS Prince's dark, tattered sails, or the HMS Fearless' black sails. Defeat the corresponding legendary ships to obtain them. If you'd rather go for maximum wackiness, perhaps you should pair the skeleton crew with the Red Bull sails instead. Get a nice collection of sea shanties and a cute ship pet while you're at it!
