The Bubbly Basin DLC adds a new environment to
Pokémon Pokopia, where you can help Ditto build another Pokémon community. After bringing rain to Withered Wasteland, you'll be able to give the Pokémon living underwater a hand.
However, before Ditto can get to work, there are a few steps you need to complete. Here's how to start the Bubbly Basin DLC in Pokémon Pokopia.
How to start the Bubbly Basin DLC in Pokémon Pokopia
Bubbly Basin is a paid DLC, so all of its content is only available after you purchase it. You can, however, enjoy other features introduced alongside Bubbly Basin as part of the 2.0.0 free update.
In addition to owning the DLC, you must meet a few prerequisites in order to access the new area:
-
**Unlock the Bleak Beach area**, rebuild the**Pokémon Center**in this area, and**learn Surf**from Lapras. -
Complete the request **"Raise the environment level!"**in Bleak Beach by reaching environmental level five. - Learn the move Dive.
You don't need to own the Bubbly Basin DLC to learn both moves and to reach the environmental level requirement.
If you have completed the request and learned the two moves, it's time to visit the underwater city. To start the Bubbly Basin DLC, you must head to the Pokémon Center in Bleak Beach, where you will meet Popplio. Talk to them, and the Pokémon will invite you to help their city.
Next, with Popplio following you, go to the Bubbly Basin gate, which is located underwater on the western side of the Bleak Beach map. If you haven't learned the Dive move with Manaphy, then you won't be able to reach the gate.
