A funeral will be held next week for a stillborn baby found on the side of a rural Marlborough road earlier this year.
A machinery operator found the baby's body on Wairau Bar Road near Spring Creek on 19 May.
Police are yet to identify the infant or their family.
A post-mortem confirmed the baby was stillborn.
The funeral service will be held at the children's memorial area at Fairhall Cemetery at 10.30am on 29 July.
Detective Sergeant Jason Hillgrove said local businesses and community groups had donated time, services and resources to arranging the service.
Officers were still working to identify the baby's family members, he said.
"We are still concerned for the welfare of the mother. We would like to ensure she is safe and can receive any appropriate treatment or support," he said.
Anyone with information that might locate the mother or other family is asked to contact the police 105 service and quote the file number 260519/9172.
