MANILA, Philippines — The expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Thursday, August 6, due to inclement weather brought by the Tropical Storm (TS) Maymay and the southwest monsoon, or habagat, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration earlier reported in a weather advisory that moderate to heavy downpour is expected to prevail over the country, particularly in areas in Luzon due to the effects of TS Maymay and the enhanced southwest monsoon.
