Razon tops Forbes PH rich list with record $21.8B fortune

MANILA, Philippines — Ports and casino magnate Enrique Razon Jr. has claimed the top spot in the 2026 Forbes Philippines’ 50 Richest list for the first time, with his net worth nearly doubling to a record $21.8 billion as the global expansion of International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) boosted his fortune.

The Sy siblings slipped to No. 2 with a combined fortune of $9.2 billion, down from a year ago as shares of property giant SM Prime Holdings weakened.

Meanwhile, San Miguel Corp. chair and CEO Ramon Ang climbed to No. 3 with $3.5 billion, followed by Puregold founders Lucio and Susan Co at No. 4 with $3.3 billion, their first appearance in the top five.

DMCI’s Isidro Consunji and siblings rounded out the top five with $3 billion.

Moreover, completing the top 10 were Lucio Tan ($2.9 billion), Jaime Zobel de Ayala ($2.8 billion), the Que Azcona family ($2.5 billion), Manuel Villar ($2.4 billion) and the Ty siblings ($2.3 billion).

Overall, the combined wealth of the country’s 50 richest individuals and families fell 8 percent to $79 billion from $86 billion a year earlier, reflecting slower economic growth, higher inflation and a weaker peso. /pai INQ
