At least three quarter-final fixtures at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, tournament have been confirmed.

This follows the conclusion of Wednesday’s Group C final fixtures which Nigeria thrashed Egypt 6-2, and Malawi lost 2-1 against Zambia.

The outcome of the results means that Nigeria will now face Cameroon in the quarter-final stage this weekend after finishing in second position in Group C.

South Africa will clash with the host nation, Morocco, in the quarter-final this weekend, while Ivory Coast will take on Algeria in the quarter-final.

For Malawi, they will have to wait to see who they will face between Ghana and Mali.

The WAFCON quarter-final stage will commence on Saturday, and only four teams will qualify for the semi-final stage.
