SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur— Twenty-nine families (96 individuals) from flood-prone villages in Vigan City were pre-emptively evacuated to barangay evacuation centers as early as Wednesday, as Tropical Storm Maymay and the southwest monsoon continued to bring rains across the province. Mayor Randy Singson led the inspection of evacuation centers as soon as residents departed flood-prone areas in Barangays Raois, Rugsuanan, and Camangaan.
