Kelly Osbourne, who is involved in an acrimonious break-up with her American fiancé, has revealed that she has found comfort through life in this country.

Kelly, 41, became a household name by appearing in her family’s reality television show The Osbournes, which documented their luxurious life in Beverly Hills.

But now she has condemned Los Angeles, where the upmarket enclave is situated and where she has spent much of her life.

‘I love England,’ she tells me at the private viewing of an art exhibition in London. ‘It has always been my home. I never wanted to leave.’ She adds of the heatwave: ‘The weather has also been perfect this summer.’

Asked if she missed La La Land, she replies bluntly: ‘No. It’s a s***hole.’

Kelly, pictured below, moved back to Britain in 2025 with her father, Black Sabbath star Ozzy, and her mother, Sharon, who had lived in LA for nearly 30 years. In a TV documentary chronicling his return, the Brummie rocker told Kelly: ‘I’m kind of scared to go back.’ She responded: ‘I know what you mean.’

Ozzy died in July last year aged 76 and Kelly tells me: ‘It’s hard, and I will never be the same person I was again before he died. Things are getting a little bit better every day.’

This week, she spoke publicly about her split from Sid Wilson, 49, a DJ and keyboard player with heavy metal band Slipknot. They have a three-year-old son, Sidney. Her comments came days after he was reportedly kicked out of the band.

Although she didn’t mention him by name, she posted a string of comments on social media urging someone to ‘take some responsibility’ and demanding the return of her dogs and belongings, and even child support.

Leonor and Sofia are alumnae of UWC Atlantic College in Wales. The school, with a progressive approach and castle setting, has been dubbed ‘Hippy Hogwarts’.

She was one of TV’s biggest stars, but Holly Willoughby has revealed that she was never asked by the BBC about the possibility of being considered as one of the new Strictly Come Dancing hosts. ‘So many people have asked me this,’ admits the presenter, 45. ‘I was never even in the mix for it, I don’t think. I was more on the side of, “Who the hell is it going to be and don’t ruin my favourite show.” I love Strictly – it’s my favourite.’

‘I’ll have to work on a speech that doesn’t sound too much like an auction,’ says Harry, who inherited Dalmeny House, near Edinburgh, when he became Earl of Rosebery. The groom’s mother is half Ghanaian. ‘They’re going to wear their most wonderful outfits,’ adds the earl. ‘We’ll have tartan versus Ghana.’

And her efforts to get in shape to play the American singer sound exhausting.

‘I’ve been training in the gym relentlessly six days a week,’ Alexandra, 37, tells me at the first night at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London. ‘I do one upper, one lower, and one full-body workout and then one spin a week, then it’s all running.’

The singer was hand-picked by Chaka, 73, who attended the show. Alexandra admits: ‘I’m nervous and feel that pressure as you can see her life story is very heavy.’

Whether she ever playfully declared ‘the choux must go on!’ is a matter for debate. What is certain is that she ensured that The Great British Bake Off continued filming during Covid lockdowns. But that’s of scant consolation to executive producer Letty Kavanagh, 52, who has just initiated a High Court legal action claiming breach of contract against Love Productions, the firm behind Bake Off which she left last November, and parent firm Sky Ventures. Sounds as if one side or other will be burnt to a cinder.
