Beware of low-price or early stock Samsung Galaxy pre-orders after the July 22 Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. They might be too good to be true.

Scammers will be praying on those looking for stocks of the just-announced Flip 8 and Fold 8 handsets and anyone looking for a cut-price deal or an early release unit should watch where they browse.

There will be fake shops out there ready to take your money, your identity and maybe drop you some malware all at the same time.

There are some simple things you can do before you buy, though. Check the URL of the store you're in. It may look like one you know but AI has made it incredibly easy to create and clone pages that look legitimate.

If you don't recognise the store and it's offering a Samsung Galaxy deal or Flip and Fold 8 stock that you can't find anywhere else, then it's very likely a scam.

There are free tools you can use, such as link checkers from the likes of Google and NordVPN. These will, analyse the page before you have to click on the link, and will let you know if the page has been compromised in any way, i.e. if there is any malware or phishing attacks waiting on the other side.

They're excellent in any situation where you're not sure about a link you're looking at or have been sent.
