US rock band Queens Of The Stone Age have unveiled an unusual initiative: a complaint hotline designed to allow fans to air their grievances directly, with the promise that all feedback will be "reviewed personally."

The bizarre service, which was launched on Thursday, even offers callers the chance to be connected live to a band member.

Operating 24/7, the hotline directs individuals to an answering machine. Callers are given the option to either lodge a complaint or proceed without one. Those opting to voice their concerns are encouraged to leave a message, while those who choose not to are simply told they are "having a good day" before the line disconnects.

The platform is for "fans, friends and foes" to share their thoughts, with "a chance that some callers may even find a live ear at the end of the line."

A poster shared on the band's Instagram page urged: "Call the Queens Of The Stone Age complaint hotline and get heard! You know better, now’s your chance! No bitching too big, no whiny too tiny. All complaints are reviewed personally: +1 (760) 437-1966."

Fans are also encouraged to monitor their social media channels for updates on complaint statuses.

Formed in 1996 in Seattle by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, Queens Of The Stone Age are known for hits including 'No One Knows', 'Go With The Flow', and 'Little Sister'.

The current line-up, led by Homme and featuring Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore, has earned eight Grammy nominations and a UK number one album.

The band is presently on tour across North America alongside Foo Fighters, with upcoming performances scheduled in Japan, Singapore, Australia, and a significant return to Iceland – their first gig in the country in two decades.

Last year, the US rockers headlined the three-day Victorious Festival down on Southsea Common in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Half-way through the set, frontman Homme stopped to take a song request from the audience before launching into Little Sister.

Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and Vampire Weekend also performed across the weekend at the festival that started back in 2012.
