Pokémon Pokopia's ocean doors are an essential part of bringing Popplio's ocean temple to life in the Bubbly Basin DLC. However, if you're searching the basin high and low for ocean doors and haven't found them, there's a good reason for that. Pokopia hides the ocean doors closer to home than you might realize.

Where to find ocean doors in Pokémon Pokopia

The ocean doors crafting recipe is in a Poké Ball under some sand in all the debris you have to clear before you can build the ocean temple. It's at ground level, a little to the west of the construction sign and toward the back of the building area.

Crafting ocean doors requires just one block of star-spotted rock. If you haven't found any of that yet, you'll usually run across it in caves or deeper parts of the basin. It's recognizable by the star-shaped patterns that give the block its name, and you can break it with standard Rock Smash punches — no burger power-up required for these. There's a sizable amount of star-spotted rock in the caves near Bubbly Basin's town center, behind the iron slab on the ground. Mareanie directs you into these tunnels when they ask you to find a pearl, so keep an eye out for star rocks while you're searching.

Popplio's ocean temple requires two ocean doors. They're a thematic fit for this region's underwater decor, though, so if you're looking to plug up some of the many gaps in buildings around the basin or building a bespoke, marine-themed home for your Pokémon friends, consider plunking down an ocean door to see how it works.
