SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur— President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday turned over P150 million to the city government of Batac, Ilocos Norte for the construction of a new public market, a month after a fire damaged the existing facility and disrupted the livelihoods of hundreds of vendors. Marcos visited the Batac Public Market to inspect the damage caused by the July 5 fire and meet with affected stallholders.
