Kharge demands Amit Shah's statement in Rajya Sabha; Rijiju says "opposition will not decide which minister comes to House"

NEW DELHI: Amid continuing opposition protests lampooning home minister Amit Shah for his "absence" from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju Friday said the opposition cannot decide which minister will come to the House and speak.

They also held placards designed as attendance sheets, with 'nil' against Shah. The House passed the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, amid the din, without debate.
