BAGUIO CITY — Residents in flood- and landslide-prone areas of Itogon, Benguet, were warned to stay alert as persistent southwest monsoon or “habagat” rains triggered flooding and landslides in parts of the province on Friday, Aug. 7. Police personnel under “Oplan Tangguyob” monitored the Ambalanga River in Poblacion and Camp 1 Acupan in Barangay Virac to assess conditions and ensure public safety.
