SAN ILDEFONSO, ILOCOS SUR— Seven fatalities have so far been reported in separate drowning and landslide incidents as persistent rains triggered by past storms and the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” continue to batter parts of Luzon. The latest fatality was a minor who was initially reported missing on Friday after falling in a river in Barangay Langlangca 1st, Candon City, Ilocos Sur. The victim’s body was recovered on Saturday morning.
