HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH is marking its first anniversary with a month-long celebration that gives players plenty of reasons to return to the court. Running from July 22 to August 19, the anniversary update introduces free character rewards, a new mini game, limited cosmetics, and two new SP characters from Kamomedai High School.

The biggest draw is the “Make UR Wish” event, which lets players earn a UR-rarity player of their choice by completing designated in-game challenges. Rather than leaving recruitment entirely to chance, the event gives players an opportunity to add a specific player they’ve been chasing, whether that’s a powerful spiker, a reliable libero, or an elite setter to round out their roster.

Players can also recruit SP Hitoshi Ginjima for free through the “Clean Up the Gym” event. Completing daily missions gradually unlocks the Inarizaki wing spiker without requiring premium pulls, making him another guaranteed addition during the anniversary celebration.

Daily logins from July 22 to August 5 also reward players with anniversary-exclusive cosmetics and recruitment resources. These include limited Portrait Frames and Chat Frames, along with dual-character backgrounds featuring Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, as well as Tooru Oikawa and Hajime Iwaizumi. Players can also collect SP Recruit Tickets, UR Recruit Tickets, and UR Player Boost Cards to strengthen their existing teams.

The anniversary update also introduces a new limited-time mini game called Showdown! Midnight Treasure Hunt! Instead of taking place on the volleyball court, the mode sends players into the team’s dormitory to search for hidden items while racing against the clock. The objective is simple: find what you need before your opponents do and complete the exploration before time runs out.

Garena is also expanding the playable roster with two SP versions of Kamomedai High School standouts.

Leading the update is SP Korai Hoshiumi (Winter Sports), the explosive wing spiker known to Haikyu!! fans as the “Next Little Giant.” His athleticism and jumping ability made him one of the manga and anime’s most dangerous offensive threats, and he joins the game as a limited SP recruit during the anniversary event.

Joining him is SP Sachiro Hirugami (Winter Sports), Kamomedai’s disciplined middle blocker whose defensive awareness and read blocking made him a key part of the team’s success. His arrival gives players another front-row option focused on shutting down opposing attacks.

HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH launched in 2025 as a mobile adaptation of Haruichi Furudate’s hit volleyball series, allowing players to recruit familiar characters, build their own teams, and recreate matches from the anime. The first anniversary update is the game’s biggest content drop so far, combining guaranteed player rewards, new recruits, and a limited-time game mode into a single celebration that runs throughout the next month.
